When Do Classes Begin?

For Semester 1:

        Close of enrolments        February 18
        First classes                    February 23

        Non–teaching period (including Easter)    April 6-18

        Last classes                                  May 29
        Non-teaching period                    June 1 - 5
        Examination/Assessments            June 8 - 12
        Publication of Semester 1 results  July 9

For Semester 2:

        Close of enrolments                            July 22
        First classes                                        July 27

        Non–teaching period                          September 21 – Oct 2

        Last classes                                        October 30
        Non-teaching period                          November 2 - 6
        Examination/Assessments                 November 9 - 13
        Publication of end of year results       December 3

In addition, short intensive units are taught in two-week blocks in February, July and November. Dates for these intensive units are indicated in the course outlines and on the timetable pages.


Class Times:

Unless otherwise indicated on the timetable, class times are as follows:

Morning classes                 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
Afternoon classes               2.00 pm to 5.00 pm
Evening classes                  6.00 pm to 9.00 pm

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, College Prayers take place in the Chapel from 12.40 till 1.00 pm.

Lunch is available in the dining room from 12.30 pm until 1.30 pm. It is necessary to purchase a ticket earlier in the day, from the administration office in the main building, adjacent to the library.
